Goodbye 👋
Thank You for the memories. We’ve officially closed our Palo Alto location as we relocate to Los Angeles to begin an exciting new chapter.
I am deeply grateful to all of the wonderful students, families, horses, and friends who have been part of this journey. Thank you for your trust, support, and countless memories over the years.
With heartfelt thanks,
Colleen Shjeflo
About

With over 20 years of riding, training, and teaching, Colleen's breadth of experience is vast and unique. As a teenager she rode and competed in the western riding world with her Quarter Horse, whom she trained from a two year old. Together they dabbled in a little bit of everything -- competitive trail riding, western pleasure, team roping, and rodeo pageants.

One day for fun, she decided to try a jumping lesson, immediately falling in love with the experience. So Colleen wasted no time and picked up the sport of Three-Day Eventing. After buying a new horse, an off-the-track Thoroughbred mare, whom she trained and competed at venues all over the state.

Colleen then became a working student for a successful Hunter/Jumper trainer. During this time she gained experience riding and training young sporthorses, taking her skills to the next level. She purchased a new horse at this time with superior athletic abilities. They currently compete on the Jumper Circuit.

Colleen graduated college with a B.A. in Communication Studies from San Jose State University. She is also a certified equine body worker.

When Colleen is not at the ranch she enjoys watching movies, going to sporting events, visiting her family, and spending time at home in Redwood City with her two pet cats.
